Deception

Deception
Deception is a pocket-sized storytelling and bluffing game where every player is trying to build the truth while quietly bending it out of shape. Using dice, case cards, prompts and twists, players create a strange little mystery one fact at a time. Some details are true, some are lies, and some sit in that deliciously suspicious middle ground where everyone starts narrowing their eyes at each other.
It is designed for players who like social deduction games but do not always want a huge setup, a long rule explanation or an evening that requires a diplomatic incident. Deception is compact, quick to learn and full of replay value because every case changes depending on the dice, the cards and the people around the table. The same components can create a dramatic poisoning in a castle, a suspicious escape at a harbour, a market theft, a church sabotage or something even stranger once the accusations start flying.
The fun comes from building a shared story while trying to work out who is nudging the narrative in the wrong direction. Players must listen carefully, remember details, spot contradictions and decide when to challenge someone’s version of events.
It is ideal for game nights, travel, camping, pubs, holidays, older families, mystery fans and people who enjoy bluffing without needing a full murder-board pinned to the dining room wall.
